Yoga includes physical, mental and spiritual practices, which originated in ancient India. Yoga as a word means “union”. It’s union of body and mind, harmony inside you.

Somebody might think that yoga is not sport or exercise, but just a way of mind, kind of philosophy. Yes, yoga includes meditation and in fact, it can be a lifestyle. But that’s not just it.

Yoga is not just a stress buster; it’s also one of the most effective workouts for fighting stubborn fat stores. Yoga can help you to lose fat, but not in traditional sense of how we consider fat loss. During yoga you will not burn 1000 calories, as you can do practicing Tae Bo. Yoga practitioners burn fewer calories than traditional exercise (aerobics, jogging, etc.) can do.

But yoga can increase mindfulness

So, you will be more aware of what you are eating and make better food choices. You will not just control calorie intake, you will keep a healthy balanced diet. Everything starts in your mind. If you understand that you should eat healthy food, you will do it.

Yoga is not high intensity training, but it lasts 75 to 90 minutes. During all this time you are strengthening and lengthening. You are stretching every your muscle and search for a balance of body and mind.

No doubts, you will not get chiseled abs or huge muscular back just doing yoga. But due to a large amount of stretching exercises, yoga will help you to get rid of fat in your body. You will be toned and in a great shape. And what is also important, if your muscles are stretched, you will not get injuried during trainings.

You can practice yoga at any age, any shape. There are no limits. Yoga is for everybody!
